Lauretha L. Bellinder graduated from Brandon High School in 2000. Lauretha earned a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from Dillard University in New Orleans, LA in 2004. Immediately following undergraduate school, she enrolled at Jackson State University and received a Master of Business Administration in May 2006. Lauretha started teaching mathematics in August 2006 in Dallas, Texas and became a certified teacher for the State of Texas. Lauretha taught for 5 years in Texas and earned Campus Teacher of the Year in 2008. During this time, she also earned a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction with an Emphasis in Mathematics from the University of Texas in Arlington in June 2011. Lauretha also spent two summers serving as an educational consultant for Project Innovation before moving back to Mississippi. Upon moving back to Mississippi in 2011, Lauretha received her Mississippi Teacher’s License in mathematics and business education; taught math at her alma mater Brandon High School for 4 years, and coached basketball for 6 years. Having a heart for students and teaching mathematics, Lauretha started B-Excellent Tutoring in 2011 and continues to tutor students from week to week in mathematics. God called Lauretha to be the Director of Membership Services at The Bridge Church in Pearl, MS in 2015, and later to be the Executive Director of Bridge Builders Leadership Initiative in January 2018. Lauretha is married to Attorney Thomas Bellinder and they have children, Landon Thomas and Robbi Lee. Lauretha is a active member of The Bridge Church and loves working in any capacity of serving the community and children and impacting the next generation. She is a community organizer and currently holds the position of secretary for The Bridge Church Board of Directors.
