Mavis Seaberry, BOARD MEMBER

Mavis Seaberry Born July 29, 1960 to the late Roosevelt and Annie Mae McCoy. Currently married to Otis Seaberry, have two sons, Fredrick McCoy and John R. Taylor. Graduated from Pearl High School in 1977. Received a Certificate in Business Administration from Phillip/Virginia College. Went back to college later and received a bachelor’s degree in health administration

from Belhaven University 2014.

Mavis Joined True Light MB Church at an early age, served as the announcement clerk. Worked 27 Years for AXA Advisors, LLC/Equitable Life Insurance. Worked for Smith County Board of Supervisors for six and half years, I advanced 3 levels in a two-year period. Started as a Solid Waste Clerk,

moved to Payroll/Personnel and within 30 days advanced to Smith County’s Accounting Clerk.

She was also the 1 st Black Female to run for Mayor in the Town of Raleigh, came in third place in that election.

Currently working at Mississippi Association of Supervisors, where I encounter many if not all the County Supervisors at one point or another.

Mavis became a member of The Bridge Church in 2018, has been a Blessing for me and my family. As a member of The Bridge Church, she volunteers at Bridge Builders Leadership Initative weekly.
