Ulysses Poole Volunteer Service Scholarship
BUILDING STRONG FUTURES
The Ulysses Poole Volunteer Service Scholarship is awarded yearly to deserving students who have exemplified a commitment to service while volunteering for Bridge Builders Leadership Initiative. This scholarship is in honor of the late Mr. Ulysses Poole, faithful volunteer of the organization until death in 2020. Mr. Ulysses Poole and his wife Dr. Linda Croff-Poole became an intricate part of the BBLI family in 2018. They served as faithful volunteers, donors, and supporters of our program! Mr. Ulysses had a heart for students who wanted to further their education and encouraged dozens of high school students on a weekly basis that they were capable of achieving the impossible! Mr. U, as he was affectionately called by the students, left an impact on our organization and we are forever grateful to have had the opportunity to serve alongside him. In an effort to continue his legacy, Dr. Linda Croff-Poole continues to support our organization through this scholarship every year where at least one student is awarded a $500 scholarship. Dr. Linda remains a large part of this organization and continues to honor Mr. Ulysses’ legacy daily with her service and heart for the organization and the next generation.
